Abstract
THIS MANUAL WAS PREPARED BY STAFF ATTORNEYS AS AN ORIENTATION AND PROCEDURE GUIDE TO JUVENILE COURT REPRESENTATION. THE VARIOUS STAGES IN COURT ACTIONS ARE DESCRIBED AND THE DEFENSE COUNSEL'S ROLE DELINEATED. CASE AND STATUTORY CITATIONS ARE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT. COMMENTS ARE MADE TO ACQUAINT THE NOVICE ATTORNEY WITH SUCH INFORMAL, BUT IMPORTANT, MATTERS AS THE EFFECT OF OVER-ENTHUSIASTIC JUDGE PARTICIPATION AND THE EFFECTS OF AGITATED PARENTS ON A CHILD'S ABILITY TO TESTIFY.
