THIS STUDY DIRECTED ITS ATTENTION TO THE MANPOWER COMPONENTS RELATED TO THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF CRIME IN PENNSYLVANIA
Abstract
DETERMINATIONS WERE MADE CONCERING THE NUMBER AND TYPES OF POSITIONS IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, THE GENERAL STATE OF MANPOWER IN THE SYSTEM, MANPOWER PROBLEMS, CAREER SYSTEMS, IMPEDIMENTS IN THE SYSTEM WHICH DISCOURAGE JOB APPLICANTS. PROJECT OBJECTIVES INVOLVED CONVERTING ANALYZED DATA INTO ACTION PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND TRAINING STRATEGIES FOR SELECTED TARGET POPULATIONS. EMPLOYABLE TARGET POPULATIONS INCLUDE INDIGENTS, MINORITY GROUPS, AND REHABILITATED FORMER OFFENDERS.
