Computer systems grow increasingly complex at the same time government and society depend more on computers in order to function. Protection of computers and computer-stored information from abuse and damage is an increasingly important responsibility for computer center management.
Abstract
Dr. Hammer provides a succinct overview of why computer security is needed and what is involved, with special emphasis on the duties of management and the need for commitment by top management.
