THE GRADUATES OF TWO CONSECUTIVE FBI NATIONAL ACADEMY CLASSES WERE SURVEYED ON THE DEGREES IN WHICH HUMAN, TECHNICAL, AND CONCEPTUAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS WERE PRESENT IN LOW, MIDDLE, AND TOP LEVEL POLICE MANAGERS.
Abstract
TECHNICAL SKILLS WERE JUDGED TO BE MOST IMPORTANT AT ENTRY LEVEL MANAGEMENT WHEREAS HUMAN SKILLS AT MID-LEVEL AND CONCEPTUAL SKILLS AT TOP-LEVEL MANAGEMENT WERE JUDGED THE MOST IMPORTANT.
