Abstract
THIS DOCUMENT OUTLINES THE GOALS, METHODS, AND EVALUATION OF THE FIRST YEAR OF THE LOUISVILLE PROJECT. IN ADDITION TO THE SHORT TERM OBJECTIVES OF TRAINING, COMMUNITY RELATIONS, AND INNOVATIONS IN POLICE METHODS, THE PAPER EXAMINES PROGRAM IMPACT IN TERMS OF REPORTED CRIME RATE, COMPLAINTS AGAINST POLICE OFFICERS, AND THE PUBLIC IMAGE OF POLICE.
