THIS REPORT PRESENTS A PROFILE OF CRIME IN LOUISIANA IN THE YEAR 1974.
Abstract
THE INITIAL SEGMENT OF THE REPORT IS DEVOTED TO A REVIEW OF THE DATA COLLECTION TECHNIQUES USED PLUS A SUMMARY LOOK AT REPORTING WITH ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS TO ALL CONTRIBUTORS. NEXT, STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF THE DATA IS PRESENTED, FIRST ON AN INDIVIDUAL CRIME LEVEL, INCLUDING SEVERAL CRIMES CONSIDERED TO BE OF A SERIOUS NATURE AND THUS WORTHY OF CLOSE SCRUTINY, AND SECONDLY ON AN OVERALL DISCIPLINE LEVEL. THIS IS FOLLOWED BY A LOOK AT THE RESOURCES EMPLOYED BY THE STATE TO COMBAT CRIMINALITY, A LIST OF TABLES VIEW OF LCJIS (LOUISIANA CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEM).
