Data on general comparisons focus on the following: population, size, and police cost; crime, arrest, and traffic rates per 1,000 population; and Part I crimes and attempts reported by the FBI. Statistics on crimes and other investigations encompass a summary of total Part I offenses, homicides, forcible rapes (and attempts), aggravated assaults, robberies (and attempts), burglaries (and attempts), larcenies (and attempts), vehicle thefts and recoveries, worthless documents, Part II offenses, arson, and law enforcement officers killed or assaulted. Information on adult arrests address location by offense type, month by offense type, age and sex by offense type, arrests by bureau, and dispositions. Similar information is provided for juvenile arrests. Information on traffic accidents and enforcement includes traffic accidents by month and location, injury by month and location, fatal accidents, property damage, and accidents by bureau. Information on telephone calls received and units dispatched address incoming phone calls and units dispatched. Statistics on personnel and equipment address sworn personnel by age, years of service, years in present rank, location of assignment, and turnover.
