This report prevents the views of Japan's government on crime and crime control situations in relation to the four topics to be considered at the Ninth United Nations Congress on the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders.
Abstract
These topics are international cooperation and practical assistance for strengthening the rule of law; action against national and transnational economic and organized crime and the role of criminal law in the protection of the environment; criminal justice and police systems; and crime prevention strategies, particularly related to urban criminality, juvenile delinquency, and violence. It also focuses on the promotion of the United Nations crime prevention and criminal justice program; the management and improvement of the police, prosecution, courts, corrections, and the role of attorneys; and victims.
