About 3,800 periodicals on law and law enforcement available in the United States and Canada are listed and briefly described.
Abstract
The publications range from small newsletters to looseleaf reporters to the major law reviews and legal magazines. The periodicals are listed alphabetically within each of 50 subject categories. Subject categories include administrative law, alcohol regulations, bankruptcy law, commercial law, and constitutional law. Other subject categories are educational law, consumer protection regulations, family law, immigration law, and insurance and personal liability law. Additional subject categories are international and comparative law, judiciary and the courts, law school publications, legal forms and procedures, and military law. Further categories are municipal law, patent and copyright law, prisons and penology, tax laws and publications, and transportation, traffic, and automotive safety. For each publication, the title, publisher, editor, and a description of editorial content are provided. Information on the year established, book review policy, frequency of issue, subscription rate, circulation, and readership are also given. Further information covers the periodical's size, advertising rates, printing method, average number of pages per issue, use of color, and availability on microfilm. An index is provided.
