Abstract
THE FORENSIC PATHOLOGIST IS A SPECIALLY TRAINED PHYSICIAN WHOSE EXPERTISE AIDS LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS OF INVESTIGATION - CAUSE OF DEATH, IDENTITY OF THE DECEASED, TIME OF DEATH, MANNER OF DEATH, AND WEAPON USED. THE USEFULNESS OF THIS MEDICAL SPECIALIST IS ILLUSTRATED BY MANY EXAMPLES OF SCIENTIFIC FACTS THAT LED TO SUCCESSFUL HOMICIDE INVESTIGATIONS.
