Annotation
The labeling and conflict perspectives on crime and deviance can be synthesized to yield a framework addressing both macrolevels and microlevels of analysis.
Abstract
There are multiple versions of both perspectives. Some versions of each perspective are not compatible with the other perspective (or its versions). However, the generic premises of the labeling perspective are compatible with the similarly generic premises of the conflict perspective. Notes and about 50 references are supplied.
