The King County (WA) Police Department presents the crime statistics in its jurisdiction for 1993.
Abstract
Data are broken down by precinct, division, and type of offense. Grand totals for serious crimes are compared to those of 1992; all of them decreased slightly or significantly in 1993. In 1993, there were 23 murders, compared to 24 in 1992. Decreases for the other serious crimes were as follows: attempted or completed rape, 4.1 percent; robbery, 5.4 percent; aggravated assault, 16.2 percent; commercial burglary, 6.3 percent; residential burglary, 11.8 percent; larceny over $200, 4.6 percent; larceny, $50-$200, 3.0 percent; larceny under $50, 1.2 percent; vehicle theft, 5.2 percent; and arson, 26.3 percent.
