Abstract
THE MANUAL DESCRIBES THE KEY TELEPHONE SET, INCLUDING THE EMERGENCY LINE BUTTONS, THE HOLD BUTTONS, POLICE ADMINISTRATIVE LINE BUTTONS, THE FIRE HORN BUTTON, AND THE RINGBACK BUTTON. THE MANUAL ALSO INFORMS 911 EMERGENCY CALL ATTENDANTS ABOUT ANSWERING AND HOLDING CALLS, WHAT TO DO ABOUT FIRE DEPARTMENT-RELATED CALLS, ON-HOOK AND OFF-HOOK CALLING LINE STATUS, 120 INTERRUPTIONS PER MINUTE (IPM) AND 60 IPM DIAL TONES, ON-HOOK RINGBACK, FORCE HOLDING A LINE, FORCED DISCONNECTIONS, AND TRACING CALLS IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, BOMB THREATS OR THREATENING HARM, AND HARASSMENT OR OBSCENE CALLS.
