SEVERAL METHODS OF PROVIDING BUSINESS AND INSTITUTIONAL PERIMETER CONTROL ARE BRIEFLY DESCRIBED, RANGING FROM SIMPLE CHAIN LINK FENCING TO VIBRATION DETECTOR FENCE ALARMS.
Abstract
METHODS OF IMPROVING THE PROTECTIVE QUALITIES OF FENCING ARE REVIEWED. THESE INCLUDE USE OF BARBED WIRE OR UMBRELLA PAINT, APPLICATION OF ANTI-CLIMB PAINT (A NON-DRYING COATING WHICH WILL MARK AND SOIL ANYONE WHO TOUCHES THE COATING), AND VIBRATION DETECTORS. BOTH THE SENSOR CABLE SYSTEM AND INDIVIDUAL SENSOR SYSTEM OF VIBRATION DETECTION ARE DESCRIBED. THE ADVANTAGES AND DRAWBACKS OF EACH OF THESE METHODS OF PERIMETER CONTROL ARE NOTED.
