DESCRIPTION OF A ONE-DAY (8 HOUR) GAMING AND SIMULATION CONFERENCE MODEL DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A HIGH LEVEL OF INFORMATION DISSEMINATION AND EMPHASIZE AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION.
Abstract
THE CONFERENCE MODEL WAS UTILIZED IN THE FALL OF 1973 IN NORTHERN AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FOR THE STATE'S SECOND ANNUAL YOUTH CONFERENCE ON CRIME PREVENTION. THE CONFERENCE INCLUDED AN OPENING SPEECH WHICH DESCRIBED THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM AND ITS INTERRELATIONSHIPS, A ROLE EXERCISE, A SOCIODRAMA THAT SHOWED A YOUTH GOING THROUGH THE SYSTEM AND A PROBLEM-SOLVING EXERCISE AND SUMMARY.
