Abstract
THIS BOOKLET BEGINS WITH REPRINTS OF SEVERAL STUDIES DONE ON THE EFFECTS ON CHILDREN'S BEHAVIOR OF OBSERVING VISUAL DISPLAYS OF VIOLENCE AND AGGRESSION. THEN FOLLOWS AN INTERCHANGE OF QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS BETWEEN THE MEMBERS OF THE SUBCOMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE JUVENILE DELINQUENCY AND EXECUTIVES FROM THE THREE MAJOR TELEVISION NETWORKS. THE MAIN THRUST OF THIS HEARING WAS AIMED AT ASCERTAINING NETWORK POLICIES ON EXCESSIVE USE OF CRIME, VIOLENCE, AND HORROR ON TELEVISION PROGRAMS.
