INTERNATIONAL PROJECT TO DETERMINE THE CAUSAL RELATIONS BETWEEN THE PROCESSES OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC CHANGE AND DEVELOPMENT AND THE LEVEL OF SOCIAL MALADJUSTMENT AND CONSEQUENT JUVENILE DELINQUENCY.
Abstract
PARTICIPATING IN THE STUDY WERE BELGIUM, FRANCE, HUNGARY, ITALY, POLAND, EAST GERMANY, AND YUGOSLAVIA. STATISTICAL ANALYSES WERE MADE TO DETERMINE CORRELATIONS BETWEEN JUVENILE DELINQUENCY STATISTICS AND INDICATORS OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. STUDIES WERE ALSO MADE COMPARING THE PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SAMPLES OF JUVENILES FROM DEVELOPED AND LESSER DEVELOPED AREAS. COMPARISONS WERE MADE ALONG REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LINES. PROVIDED IS THE STATISTICAL DESIGN OF THE STUDY.
