Abstract
SEVERAL FACTS AND FALLACIES ABOUT JUVENILE DELINQUENCY, DEFINITIONS OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY, STATISTICAL MEASURES OF DELINQUENCY, AND DESCRIPTIONS OF THEORIES ON THIS PROBLEM ARE PROVIDED. AN EXAMINATION OF THE PERSONALITY PATTERNS AND THE SOCIALIZATION PROCESSES RELATED TO DELINQUENCY IS INCLUDED, AND DISCUSSIONS OF VARIOUS TYPES OF DELINQUENCY SUCH AS GANG DELINQUENCY OF FEMALE JUVENILE DELINQUENTS ARE DISCUSSED. FACTORS WHICH MAY INFLUENCE DELINQUENCY, SUCH AS THE FAMILY SETTING, BACKGROUNDS, SCHOOL HISTORY, AND EMPLOYMENT ARE CONSIDERED.
