AN OVERVIEW OF THE JUVENILE COURT SYSTEM FROM ITS HISTORY TO ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER GROUPS.
Abstract
THE REPORT IS DIVIDED INTO THE AREAS OF PHILOSOPHY AND HISTORY OF THE COURT, COURT JURISDICTION, COURT PROCEDURE, COURT ADMINISTRATION, COURT PERSONNEL, AND THE INSTITUTION AND ITS RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER GROUPS EACH AREA AN ATTEMPT IS MADE TO DEFINE ISSUES THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN EXAMINED AND THOSE THAT WARRANT FURTHER REVIEW. PERTINENT RESEARCH PROJECTS ARE DESCRIBED AND DISCUSSED. THESE PROJECTS MAY INVOLVE TESTING HYPOTHESES OR ANALYZING THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF DIFFERENT POLICY PREFERENCES. ISSUES REQUIRING MORE STUDY ARE ALSO NOTED. REPORT INCLUDES LIST OF PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS FUNDING JUVENILE COURT PROJECTS, A 379 ITEM BIBLIOGRAPHY AND A LIST OF RESEARCH PROJECTS AND THE GRANTORS.
