HE ASKED HIS STUDENTS TO BECOME INVOLVED IN COMMUNITY PROBLEMS DEALING WITH DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF JUSTICE, AND SOME OF THEIR REPORTS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS BOOK. STILL OTHER CHAPTERS WERE PROVIDED BY PARTICIPANTS OR OBSERVERS: A CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY, A PRISONER, A TEACHER, A BLACK HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT, AND OTHERS. THE BOOK ITSELF IS DIVIDED INTO EIGHT SECTIONS: POLICE, COURTS, PRISONS, HOUSING, WORK, HEALTH, SCHOOLS, FIGHTING BACK.
