STATE-BY-STATE RESULTS OF A NATIONAL SURVEY OF ACADEMIC EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROGRAMS IN JUDICIAL ADMINISTRATION AND IN SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAMS.
Abstract
INCLUDED IN THE DATA ARE SUCH ITEMS AS THE NUMBER OF PROGRAMS AT THE END OF 1974, WHERE THEY ARE OFFERED, DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAMS AND COURSES, SUBJECT AREAS COVERED, AND THE EXPECTED NUMBER OF GRADUATES. SOME OF THE ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS WHICH ARE IN THE PROCESS OF PLANNING NEW PROGRAMS ARE ALSO IDENTIFIED. A TOTAL OF 211 EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN 49 STATES EXCEPT NORTH DAKOTA, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, AND GUAM, WHICH OFFER AT LEAST BACCALAUREATE CRIMINAL JUSTICE OR RELATED PROGRAMS WERE SURVEYED. A SECOND SURVEY COVERED 49 OFFICES OF STATE COURT ADMINISTRATORS TO ASCERTAIN THE NATURE OF INSERVICE TRAINING PROGRAMS IN EACH STATE OR JURISDICTION. A BIBLIOGRAPHY IS PROVIDED.
