Abstract
Individual articles discuss the founding of the National Council for Crime Reduction, the activities of committees focusing on crimes related to vehicles and to the elderly, the computerized information center of the Israel Ministry of Police, and the reorganization of the Israel Prison Service. Other articles focus on religious rehabilitation for Jewish inmates of Israeli prisons, technology used in bomb disposal and in investigations of crime scenes, and techniques for determining whether a key is an original or a duplicate. Further articles focus on the use of videotapes for interrogations and the recording of evidence, AIDS prevention efforts, the use of automatic vehicle identification to prevent vehicle theft, and the police use of aircraft.
