Abstract
QUEUNING THEORY TECHNIQUES ARE USED TO INVESTIGATE MEAN TIME BETWEEN FALSE ALARMS, MEAN ALARM SERVICE TIME, ACCEPTABLE QUEUE DELAY, NUMBER OF GUARDS, NUMBER OF GUARD STATION LOCATIONS, AND COST. THE PAPER ADDRESSES THE SPECIFIC CASE OF SYSTEM USE IN A LARGE APARTMENT COMPLEX, BUT THE METHODOLOGY COULD BE APPLIED IN A LIKE MANNER TO OTHER ENVIRONMENTS AS WELL. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
