This is a collection of resources containing current information regarding inhalant abuse.
Abstract
The collection is presented in six sections, which provide the names and telephone numbers of the agencies/organizations that publish or distribute the materials in each section. The sections, with some of the articles included in each, are: (1) Eden Children's Project (guide for prevention and treatment of inhalant abuse); (2) National Center for Alcohol and Drug Information (dangers of inhalant abuse, health hazards of nitrite inhalants, tips for teens about inhalant abuse, NCADI publications catalog); (3) National Inhalant Prevention Coalition (parents' guide to preventing inhalant abuse, National Inhalants & Poisons Awareness Week information); (4) Internet Resources (support group for parents, sudden sniffing death, youths die by inhaling household substances); (5) Tri-Ethnic Center for Prevention Research, Colorado State University (guide to educational tools); and (6) Other Resources (fetal gasoline syndrome, toluene embryopathy).
