This document describes components of specialized technical training programs offered by the Arab Security Studies and Training Center, located in Saudi Arabia, to forensic laboratory personnel from other Arab countries.
Abstract
Current training programs offered at the Center include basic training, which covers all fields of forensics; advanced training and refresher programs; and specialized technical training. The latter focuses on gas chromatography, scanning electron microscopy, high performance liquid chromatography, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, UV/VIS spectrophotometry, fourier transform infrared spectrophotometry, high performance capillary electrophoresis, polymerase chain reaction, video spectral comparator, and laser fingerprint detection.
