Abstract
THE BENEFITS OF COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY EDUCATION WHICH ARE CITED INCLUDE PROFESSIONALIZATION OF POLICE WORK, THE ELEVATION OF THE POLICE EDUCATIONAL LEVEL TO CONFORM WITH THAT OF LARGE PORTIONS OF THE INCREASINGLY EDUCATED POPULATION, AND IMPROVEMENT IN THE POLICEMAN'S ABILITY TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE AND NEW SITUATIONS.
