REVIEW OF RESEARCH LITERATURE ON THE BACKGROUNDS AND TREATMENT OF DELINQUENTS WHO HAD SUPERIOR INTELLECTS.
Abstract
BRIGHT DELINQUENTS WERE FOUND TO SHARE LARGELY THE SAME CRIMINOLOGICAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND SOCIAL CHARACTERISTICS AS THE GREAT MAJORITY OF OTHER JUVENILE OFFENDERS, BUT EVIDENCE INDICATED THAT THE COURTS RARELY ENCOUNTERED THEM, WERE LESS INCLINED TO CONFINE THEM, AND OFTEN DISCOVERED THEM TO BE EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED.
