Abstract
The report discusses the composition, responsibilities, staff, and expenditures of the Hawaii Paroling Authority. Statistics are compared for the 1980 fiscal year and the previous year. A total of 10 tables present data on the geographical location of parolees; distribution of offenses committed by the 437 persons on parole on June 30, 1980; reasons for which paroles were revoked; time served in prison of those whose paroles were revoked; and related information. The number of persons considered for parole, the number of paroles granted, and the number of parole violation hearings declined since the previous fiscal year.
