These guidelines assist in the development or revision of a comprehensive policy and procedures manual for adult community residential services.
Abstract
The sample policies and procedures pertain to the general areas of administration, organization, and management; fiscal management; personnel; research and evaluation; communication and coordination; records; facility; emergency procedures; food service; medical care; intake; program; supervision; volunteers; and outclient services. A series of policy statements addresses issues in each of these broad areas. Each policy statement is related to an American Correctional Association standard for adult community residential services. Following each policy statement, procedures are outlined for implementing the policy. Appendixes include recommended steps for developing the policy and procedures manual.
