REPORT OF A CONSULTANT TEAM WHICH EVALUATED THE GRADUATE PROGRAM OF THE COLLEGE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OF EASTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY.
Abstract
THE FACULTY WAS FELT TO BE WELL ACCREDITED, ALTHOUGH THE FACULTY TEACHING LOADS WERE DEEMED EXCESSIVE. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS WERE JUDGED TO BE UNNECESSARILY LAX, AND THE GRADUATE PROGRAM STRUCTURE WAS FELT TO BE IN NEED OF REVISION. THE CONSENSUS WAS, NEVERTHELESS, THAT THE PROGRAM AS BASICALLY VALUABLE, ALTHOUGH UNEVEN, RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MADE FOR CORRECTING THESE AND OTHER DEFICIENCIES. THE CONSULTANTS STRESSED THAT THEY WERE IMPRESSED WITH THE BREADTH AND CONTENT OF COURSE OFFERINGS AND WITH THE COMPETENCE AND DEDICATION OF THE FACULTY.
