GENERAL POLICY FOR THE NETHERLANDS POLICE FOR THE YEAR 1976 AS PRESENTED IN THE EXPLANATORY MEMORANDA ACCOMPANYING THE BUDGET PROPOSALS OF THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE AND THE MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR FOR THAT YEAR.
Abstract
EFFORTS ARE UNDER WAY TO COMBINE SMALL POLICE UNITS IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO TACKLE LARGE-SCALE JOBS SUCH AS THE COMBATTING OF ORGANIZED CRIME EXTENDING OVER THE WHOLE COUNTRY, OR EVEN BEYOND ITS BORDERS. THE NATIONAL POLICE (RIJKSPOLITIE) ARE UNDERMANNED AT PRESENT, BUT RECRUITING IS GOING WELL, AND IT IS HOPED TO BRING THE FORCE UP TO REQUIRED STRENGTH. --IN DUTCH
