Abstract

This solicitation overview published by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) provides information about the FY 2024 Medicaid and Corrections Training and Technical Assistance Program.
Public, private, and state-controlled institutions of higher education; nonprofits with and without 501(c)(3) status; small businesses; and for-profit organizations are eligible to apply. Successful applicants receive funding to deliver training and technical assistance (TTA) to correctional institutions to improve justice and health outcomes for reentering individuals by leveraging new and existing Medicaid opportunities and to meet related requirements in the provision of health and other related support services during and after a period of incarceration. BJA encourages applications from agencies that have not received BJA funding before and convening or governing bodies that can apply on behalf of one or more entities. The document also provides examples of strategies/activities that can be funded, tips for success, and information about how and when to apply.
