FOLLOWING AN OVERVIEW OF THE CURRENT STATUS OF LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR ALARM COMPANIES, THE AUTHOR OBSERVES THAT INSURANCE PRICES WILL CONTINUE TO CLIMB AND ARGUES THAT ALARM COMPANIES MUST INSTITUTE LOSS PREVENTION MEASURES.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR STATES THAT ALARM COMPANIES MUST RECOGNIZE THE NECESSITY OF HAVING PROPER UP-TO-DATE PROTECTIVE CLAUSES IN THEIR SUBSCRIBER CONTRACTS. FAILING TO DO SO, THEY BECOME UNINSURABLE FOR BROAD FORM PROTECTION, THE AUTHOR NOTES. SIMILARLY, IT IS STRESSED THAT THE ALARM COMPANY OPERATION MUST BE OF HIGH CALIBER AND THAT PERSONNEL SHOULD BE WELL TRAINED IN ORDER TO REDUCE THE FREQUENCY AND SEVERITY OF LIABILITY CLAIMS MADE AGAINST ALARM COMPANIES....DMC
