Abstract
THE WORK SCHEDULE IS BASED ON THREE OVER-LAPPING TEN-HOUR SHIFTS. THE AUTHORS COVER THE FOLLOWING ADVANTAGES OF THE 4-10 PLAN: MAXIMUM MANPOWER DURING CRITICAL SERVICE DEMAND HOURS, EQUAL DISTRIBUTION OF MANPOWER, EFFICIENT WATCH CHANGE, ROTATING OFF-DAYS, BETTER MORALE, EQUAL USE OF EQUIPMENT, AND SPECIALIZED UNITS UTILIZED EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY.
