Abstract
An introductory chapter describes case examples and general categories of fraudulent forensic scientists and presents recommendations for making it easier to discover charlatans. Additional chapters examine the use of forensic capillary gas chromatography, the forensic identification of controlled drugs, the microscopy and microchemistry of physical evidence, and the forensic aspects of textile fiber examination. Further chapters focus on paternity testing, the identification and individualization of semen stains, and firearms identification. Detailed instructions are presented for the use of each technique.
