Abstract
The Forensic Laboratory Services, which provides scientific and technical assistance to the Canadian criminal justice system, completed 16,333 cases in 1990 resulting in over 17,900 hours of court-related duties. Apart from the ongoing Understudying Training Program, Forensic Laboratory Services Directorate ensures that personnel employed in each of the forensic disciplines and support sections are kept current in their respective fields. During 1990, laboratory personnel conducted training in virtually all areas of forensic sciences. 23 references
