The total number of offenders held under Wisconsin Division of Correction supervision in 1982 increased 7.8 percent (by 2,139 cases) over the previous year.
Abstract
The number of offenders confined in adult corrections institutions (including residential centers) increased by 11.7 percent, but the juvenile institution population decreased 5 percent. The probation and parole services caseload increased 9.1 percent, while the probation and parole absconder caseload decreased 4.6 percent. Numerous tables and endnotes are supplied.
