Abstract
FILMS CAN BE EFFECTIVE TEACHING TOOLS, BUT LOCATING THE BEST FILM IS OFTEN DIFFICULT. OF PARTICULAR INTEREST TO INDIVIDUALS IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE FIELD ARE FILMS IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES - THE LEGAL PROFESSION, CONSTITUTIONAL LAW, CRIMINAL LAW, COURTS, TRIAL PREPARATION AND PROCEDURE, DOMESTIC RELATIONS, JUVENILES, POLICE AND PRISONS. A TYPICAL FILM INCLUDED IN THIS COLLECTION IS OUR MAN IN THE MIDDLE. IT IS DESIGNED TO INCREASE THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE ROLE OF THE POLICE IN TODAY'S SOCIETY. THE FILM IS LOANED ON A GRATIS BASIS AND MIGHT PROVE VALUABLE IN A COMMUNITY RELATIONS PROGRAM AIMED AT ENCOURAGING CITIZEN SUPPORT FOR MORE EFFECTIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT. THE INFORMATION PROVIDED FOR EACH FILM INCLUDES A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FILM, THE PRICE AND/ OR RENTAL FEE, VIEWING TIME, TYPE OF AUDIENCE SUGGESTED, AND WHERE FILM MAY BE OBTAINED (SNI ABSTRACT)
