A NARRATIVE AND STATISTICAL REPORT WHICH PRESENTS HIGHLIGHTS ON THE BUREAU'S CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS, ACCOUNTING AND FRAUD MATTERS, INTERNAL SECURITY EFFORTS, COOPERATIVE SERVICES, PERSONNEL, AND ADMINISTRATION.
Abstract
AMONG THE TYPES OF CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE ACTIVITIES DISCUSSED ARE ORGANIZED CRIME, CRIMINAL INTELLIGENCE DISSEMINATION, BANK ROBBERIES, BURGLARIES, LARCENIES, KIDNAPING, EXTORTION, POLICE KILLINGS, INTERSTATE CRIMES, FUGITIVE INVESTIGATIONS, AND CRIME ABOARD AIRCRAFT. FBI ACTIVITIES REGARDING WHITE COLLAR CRIME, BANK FRAUD, EMBEZZLEMENT, AND WATERGATE-RELATED CRIMES ARE ALSO DISCUSSED. VARIOUS RADICAL ORGANIZATIONS AND ACTIVITIES ARE DESCRIBED, AND THE FBI ACTIVITIES WITH RESPECT TO THESE GROUPS ARE SUMMARIZED. OTHER TOPICS COVERED IN THIS REPORT INCLUDE THE FBI LABORATORY, THE TRAINING DIVISION OF THE FBI ACADEMY, THE COMPUTER SYSTEMS DIVISION, IDENTIFICATION SERVICES, AND APPLICANT AND EMPLOYEE INVESTIGATIONS.
