REPORT OFFERS ADVICE ON HOW EXISTING ACCOMMODATIONS OF HISTORICAL SOUTH CAROLINA COURTHOUSE CAN BE BETTER UTILIZED.
Abstract
SUBSTANTIAL RENOVATION OF THE FACILITY HAD BEEN UNDERWAY WHEN THIS ASSISTANCE REQUEST WAS MADE. THE REQUEST, THEREFORE, FOCUSED UPON MEASURES THAT MIGHT IMPROVE THE SOUND SYSTEM IN THE COURTROOM, AND OVERALL SPACIAL ARRANGEMENT. RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE STUDY INCLUDING PROVIDING THE CLERKS' OFFICE WITH ADDITIONAL STAFFING FOR THE MICROFILM EQUIPMENT; RELOCATING THE AUDITOR'S DEPARTMENT TO ANOTHER BUILDING; AND MOVING OR ENLARGING THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, GENERAL SERVICES, THE PROBATE COURT, AND TAX OFFICE.
