METHOD FOR MEASURING THE SUCCESS OF PROJECTS DESIGNED TO REDUCE RE-ARRESTS FOR IMPACT CRIME OFFENDERS AND FOR IDENTIFYING PROBLEMS INHIBITING PROJECT SUCCESS.
Abstract
A SAMPLE COMMUNITY-BASED REHABILITATION PROJECT IS DESCRIBED AND THE PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATING IT ARE OUTLINED. THE EVALUATION INCLUDES SUCH FACTORS AS THE ASSISTANCE THAT IS BEING GIVEN TO THE OFFENDERS AND THE PREPARATION AND GUIDANCE GIVEN TO THE VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE ASSISTING THE OFFENDERS. SAMPLE EVALUATION REPORT FORMS ARE APPENDED. THE APPROACH IS DESIGNED FOR ADAPTATION TO OTHER PROJECTS IN THE AREAS OF CORRECTIONS, PROBATION, AND PAROLE. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
