Many legal documents go through the notarization process as normal procedure. This process is also used by the criminal element to add an appearance of legitimacy to fraudulent documents.
Abstract
Proper examination of questioned notary seals requires an understanding of defect significance, manner of manufacture, and state regulations of notarization. It is the purpose of this paper to supply this information. (Author abstract)
