The Pennsylvania Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Safe Driving School is achieving its stated goals of influencing the DUI knowledge and attitudes of persons arrested for drinking and driving.
Abstract
The program's success can possibly be attributed to the design of the course which emphasizes small group processes within a structured environment that is supportive, nonthreatening, and facilitative of group interaction. The study examines alcohol and highway safety, alcohol countermeasures programs, and demographic characteristics of offenders. Study instruments and a selected bibliography are provided.
