Abstract
THE HEARING WAS ORGANIZED BY THE INTERNAL SECURITY UNIT OF THE SENATE SUBCOMMITTEE ON CRIMINAL LAWS AND PROCEDURES. IT REPRESENTS A CONTINUATION OF A SERIES OF HEARINGS ON THE SAME SUBJECT HELD IN 1975 AND 1976 UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE FORMER SENATE SUBCOMMITTEE ON INTERNAL SECURITY. THE JULY 13, 1977 HEARING INCLUDES THE TESTIMONIES OF THE FOLLOWING PERSONS: EUGENE ROSSIDES, WHO SERVED AS ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT; JOHN OLZEWSKI, A VETERAN OF 27 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN LAW ENFORCEMENT IN THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE; AND LAURENCE SILBERMAN, WHO SERVED AS DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL. WITNESSES WHOSE TESTIMONY IS INCLUDED FOR JULY 27, 1977 ARE: STUART KNIGHT, DIRECTOR OF THE SECRET SERVICE; AND GLEN KING, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CHIEFS OF POLICE.
