Abstract
The median elapsed time in county court was 124 days, a decline of 13 days from the previous year and 100 days lower than the number in 1987-88. In the Supreme Court, the median elapsed days between committal and the start of the trial or guilty plea hearing was 156 days, an increase of 4 days over the previous year. Additional tables and figures present data regarding the elapsed time between committal and being ready for the trial or guilty plea hearing, the elapsed time between being ready for trial and the start of the trial, and elapsed times between the verdict and the sentence. Further tables focus on elapsed times between arrest and committal, arrest and sentence, committal and sentence, and committal and trial verdict. Tables and figures
