This book looks at the extent of drug criminality and drug abuse in Sweden during 1969-81, based mainly on a critical study of major surveys in the mid-1960's.
Abstract
It includes the results of studies done on schoolchildren and conscripts along with data on hard drug users. Drug offenses from police statistics are broken down by reported and cleared crimes, and information is given on drug seizures by drugs and amount. Statistics are also given on trends in drug arrests and sentences. Analysis of the data indicate that drug criminality may increase without drug abuse following at the same rate. Additional research is necessary to gain an overall picture of the crime rate among drug abusers. Tables, graphs, and 22 references are included.
