Abstract
Collected data focuses on age on admission, place of birth, educational attainment, occupation, monthly income, and employment in the illicit drug trade. Family particulars including marital status and living arrangements are revealed; environmental factors such as residential district and types of accommodation are reported. Additionally, the addiction process is reviewed, with consideration given to drugs used, age at first intake, and method of taking drugs. Treatment experience and criminal history are detailed, and profiles of male and female drug addicts in 1983 are provided. Twenty-eight tables illustrate the study data.
