SURVEY OF ONGOING EFFORTS TO COMBAT DRUG ABUSE IN OHIO.
Abstract
THIS SURVEY REPRESENTS A COOPERATIVE EFFORT BY GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES AND DEPARTMENTS IN OHIO TO RESPOND TO THE SOCIAL PROBLEM OF DRUG ABUSE. THE INTENT OF THE SURVEY WAS TO DEFINE THE EXTENT OF THE DRUG PROBLEM AND TO ASSESS ONGOING EFFORTS TO COMBAT IT. THE SURVEY INDICATED THAT THE CURRENT LEVEL OF RESOURCE COMMITMENT WAS NOT ENOUGH TO STEM AN INCREASING PROBLEM. APPENDICES SET FORTH THE STATUTORY DEFINITIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES ASSIGNED TO THE STATE AGENCIES AS THEY RELATE TO DRUG ABUSE ALSO INCLUDED IS LIST OF COMMUNITY DRUG REHABILITATION PROGRAMS FOR EACH OF OHIO'S 51 COUNTIES.
