A bibliography is presented for DNA identification tests in the courtroom.
Abstract
The issues covered in the articles include: DNA admission into court; methods used in the typing of DNA; possibilities and pitfalls for the technique; the increase of the use of DNA fingerprinting; DNA fingerprinting in the matters of family and crime; expenses associated with DNA typing methods; and the forensic application of DNA fingerprints. The dilemmas posed by DNA in the courtroom, the reliability of the tests, and the technical aspects of DNA fingerprinting are also addressed.
