Abstract
A NUMBER OF PERSONALITY TESTS AND JOB SITUATIONS ARE SELECTED TO MEASURE THE BEHAVIORAL DIMENSIONS OF JOB EFFECTIVENESS, AND TO LEARN THE MAJOR REASONS FOR FAILURE AND INCOMPETENCE IN HANDLING JOB RESPONSIBILITY. TEST NORMS WERE ESTABLISHED FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF POLICE DEPARTMENTS AND DIFFERENT GEOGRAPHIC AREAS. THE MANUAL FROM THIS PROJECT CONTAINS GUIDELINES FOR THE APPLICATION OF PSYCHIATRIC TESTS AND STANDARDS FOR POLICE SELECTION. APPENDED MATERIAL INCLUDES TESTS USED FOR PERSONNEL ASSESSMENT.
